Hey everyone!
Today I thought I'd blog about something that's happened a lot recently to people all over the world and that is...
going back to school.
It may be some people are going from, primary school to secondary school, from secondary school to college, college to university or university to work who knows but everyone has the same things in common. You are all starting a new beginning whether its just a new year group such as year 9 to year 10 every year brings something new and it tends to go by very quickly as I have experienced through out secondary school, I am in my last year at the moment and everything is already flying by and the thought of GCSEs are terrifying but very soon they will be over. Oh! and people are already chin wagging about prom in lessons... guess who not gonna have a date cause they are forever alone? That's correct. me. Well enough dwelling on things that aren't happening and lets get on with it. On my Twitter and Facebook I have been asked many questions about school life and general things to get through school and in this blog I am going to answer them the best that I can.
Q. What's the best way to ease back to school/new school nerves?
Beating the nerves is very easy if you know how. Having and suffering from anxiety along with many others I have managed to find some good ways to stop anxiousness and to find ways to help relax back into routine and back into the school swing or wherever you may be heading.
1. Stay with friends and be around the people that make you happy. Being with friends and having fun is always the best way to beat any nerves and uncertainty about something and will take your mind off the fact you are anxious.
2. Think positively and of things you are looking forward too. Thinking of things you are looking forward to helps take the pressure off things you may not be looking forward too much and gives you a positive mind, in my case seeing Conor Maynard in a few weeks.. Conor I love you, marry me okay?
Q. How can I stay organised?
Staying organised is something a lot of people struggle to do including myself but I am slowly learning a few bits and bobs to help keep organised and I am going to share them with you guys and hope that they work!
1. Do all work set on the night you get it! I know this is very hard with the world of YouTube as a distraction and hot tumblr boys but I promise you it does work, it loosens the work load and doesn't let it all pile up on you. Another tip is
2. Keep paper in folder and any work set that you need to hand in and keep books in a separate area. Keep all school work together and in a clean and separate place to everything else to ensure you wont lose or ruin anything and keep everything together you need to study.
Q. I get teased about the way I look at school what should I do?
The amount of stuff I see about this phenomenal and in my mind unacceptable. Why anyone should be teased about the way they look is beyond me especially at school. I mean come on people it school right? You're here to learn and get a good education to set a sturdy foundation for your future and to have fun with friends not to have to deal with loads of bitches and to impress people right?
So my piece of advice is ignore all the idiots that are picking on you for your looks because you are beautiful and I'll tell you now, you'll be the one with an amazing job living in a mansion and not working on a stripper pole, so next time someone is a bitch to you about something like that just ignore them and remember how amazing you are how silly they are to have to stoop to that level at school for goodness sake its just silly of them to do right? Okay Niamh calm down... Sorry bitchy people put me in rage haha.
Q. Is it easier going to a mixed or single sex school?
There is very mixed feelings about both single sex schools and mixed schools as they both have their pros and cons. So I thought I'd make pro's and cons lists. Enjoy :)
Single Sex School:
. PROS
. Not having to look good cause no boys and its just school.
. Nothing to overly distract you.
. No boy-girl drama.
. You are able to vocal about how annoyed you are with your period.
. No worry about accidentally walking into boys toilets.
.CONS
. Everyone's bitchy.
. Girl drama.. worse than boy drama.
. Arugments.
. Groups, cliques and 'incrowds'.
. People say why look good and then judge you anyway which is a lot of crap.
Mixed School:
. PROS
. Not as much bitchiness.
. You can have your boy mates with you.
. Not so many group issues and incrowds.
. Not judge on how you look as much.
. CONS
. Boys could be distracting.
. Boy - girl drama and awkward boyfriends fights.
. Cant be vocal about how annoyed you are at your period.
. Could accidentally walk into boys toilets... awkward.
Hop you enjoyed this blog guys and that it gives a few tips on school survival if this does well I will definitely do more blogs like this in the future! Hope you liked it! :)
